Medical-legal reports, especially for post-traumatic fibromyalgia after a motor vehicle or other accident:

These are detailed reports. They will include results of the current standard diagnostic test which is called the “ACR 2016”. They will also include a number of checklists for risk factors, aggravating factors, precipitating factors and relieving factors. Also available is a tool to assess severity called the FIQR. Patients or their lawyer may contact us to find out more.

An assessment can be done through Skype, Google Hangouts, OTN or telephone. The most convenient is Skype or telephone, but Skype is preferred. The assessment is in depth and usually requires at least three appointments.

Where applicable, the doctor can issue an opinion as to  cause and contribution of the accident to the patient’s fibromyalgia  symptoms, if any. For more information call Dr. Doidge.

The process begins with a request from the patient’s lawyer and a  consent form.

Examination by the doctor will normally include an extensive tender point examination. This can be used in medical-legal reports to support the diagnosis and severity assessment. For a sample template, click here: Tender point examination.

Patients will fill out our detailed Fibromyalgia Registration and Patient History Form and return it to us in a secure manner (call for instructions. DO NOT fax or send unencrypted).
